Hey Family,
Mom I have been waiting and waiting for that package. My face is in desperate need of Proactiv. I just received a letter that I will attach at the bottom about the mail policy. I guess that they will not be forwarding our mail anymore. So you guys can send it straight to my apartment. My address is:
Sister Kelsey Smith

Centreville, VA 20120
I have had a good week this week. I went on exchanges with Sister Borland. She is a Sister Training Leader. I went to Gainesville and worked in that area. There were things that I learned that I want to apply in my missionary work. I am learning to be a bold missionary and sometimes I get discouraged. Sister Borland shared a scripture with me in Romans 1:15 and it says "As much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to YOU!" I know that as long as I am doing what the Lord has asked me to do that I will speak with power and authority and help the people in Centreville realize how this gospel will bless their lives.
Funny stories for the week--on Friday we had a biking day. We went to go and talk to this gentleman and this was our conversation:
Us: "Hello, how are you doing today?"
Man: "Get off of the sidewalk, now!! I am calling my attorney!"
(He called his attorney right there and said to him: "We have a Sister Mitchell and Sister Smith"
Us: "Okay we will, have a great day!"
Hahahahaha We both were terrified in the moment and then we about died laughing after we left. That same day we were going to visit an Investigator and on our way we passed a man and I wanted to say hello to him. As soon as I said Hello he said
Another Man: DON'T...... DON'T.... If you say one more word I will call the Police.
In the moment these things are so scary, but they make great stories afterwards. It's funny that we had 2 of these stories in the same day. That night we also had a man run up to us and ask if he could learn about Jesus. His name is Forest and he is a black man with dreadlocks He is also a rapper and he says that he is the next Soulja Boi. I told Sister Mitchell that we need to be on our bikes more often. It is exhausting but rewarding.
Katarine and Melvin both came to church yesterday! This was Melvin's first time coming. We had a member fellowship him all through the Priesthood meetings while Sister Mitchell and I were in Relief Society. This week during church we talked about Missionary work in all of the meetings hahaha. They were really immersed in it. We are meeting with them again this week and so we are praying that they will have a baptism date in mind. I love them both so much.
Okay so transfers are a week from Thursday. President just emailed me and told me that I should be preparing for this next exciting transfer. Ahh. I am shaking because I know that I will either be training a new missionary, or taking over the area, or both. I say this because Sister Mitchell has been in this same area for the last 6 months. I am so nervous but excited for change. Pray that I will feel at peace with the transfer. Time is going by way too quickly. I have almost been out for 3 months. Man... So freaky!
Well it looks like you all had a fun week! That's awesome that Jake had a good time. EFY is such an amazing thing that really strengthened my testimony. Shaelee and I were crazy then. I love how Josh is playing tennis now. I bet he is so great. Congrats Dad on the tournament. You will win the finals I guarantee it. What did you guys do at Fish Lake? Did you ride four wheelers? What was the highlight? How is everybody doing? I like the picture of Jake, haha that is awesome!
Okay well I hope you all have another great week! Remember to send mail to the Centreville address
Love,
Sister Smith
P.S you can google map my address and see where I live haha. And I can't wait to get this great package :)
****Note from Jill (Mom): I did send her Proactiv...finally...she should have it on Wednesday Also, I didn't include the letter from her mission president. It just said basically what Kelsey said in her letter. I am glad we can send things right to her now!
