Hey,
Another week has flown by. This week has been really entertaining with transfers this past Thursday. Sister Richins has been transferred to Oakmarr (Oakton Stake) and my new companion's name is Sister Christensen. Sister Christensen started her mission one transfer after me which is fun because we are both at the tail end of our missions and working our tails off. Sister Christensen is also from Provo Utah and is number 6 out of 8 children. She is really fun and I am so grateful that the Lord gave me her for my last companion.
We have seen miracles this week. This past Tuesday we taught a family from Ghana. They fed us more peanut butter soup and fufu and we also taught them the Restoration. They are a prepared family and I am really excited about their progression. We also taught Erin and she is so excited for her baptism this coming Sunday. I know that she will make a great addition to the ward family!
We had a wonderful day at Church yesterday. We had three of our investigators at church. For two of them it was their first time at church. The ward made them feel very welcome and loved. We just started to teach this family last week and so it will be fun to see them continue to progress.
I am at a point now in my mission that I am realizing that the people I am teaching will most likely be baptized after I return home. It's a sad feeling! I know that it is all for the best though. These people in Ashburn are very prepared.
It seems like you all had a good week this week. Jake, bubble soccer looks so fun! Mom I really come home in 38 days? AHHHHHHH! I feel like the Lord is preparing me slowly to go back to the real world. Its still hard and I know that as I accept the change it will be easier to adjust. There is an Iphone 6 now? Man, I have been gone a long time huh? The Iphone 5 was such a big deal when I left. Please send me pictures of your new phone, I would love to see it.
Dad, when do Megan and Jennifer come home? You are right though because they left on their missions shortly before I did. I can't wait to talk with them and catch up on all of our adventures! I know that you are doing wonderful things as bishop. I work with the Ashburn bishop every week and it makes me think of you and how you are doing to help the efforts of the ward. Keep it up!
I love you all and am excited to see you soon!
Love,
Sister Smith
