Hey Family,
Wow that was a fast week! I can’t believe that I will see all of your faces in 2 days. It doesn't feel real yet. I still remember getting off of the phone with you guys at the airport and thinking how long it will be till I hear your voices again. Welp, that went super-fast!
Ahh I love all of the pictures you guys sent me! Such a cute shepherd family! I can't believe how much snow you are getting, that is so crazy! It’s been in the 60's and 70's for the last couple of days. VA weather is more bipolar than UT weather. It must be so fun to have the family all back together. It seems like Ade had a good semester! Wow, that went by fast too.
What a great week Sister McCormick and I have had. I have been to see the temple lights twice this week. Once last Monday with a less active (almost the whole ward was there too!) and again just yesterday with Chunyu our recent convert and her nonmember friend. They had such a good time! I also have a crazy story to tell. So we met with Katarine for our first time since I taught her in Centreville. She has changed so much from going through the divorce. She opened up to us and it was such a tender thing. She is now getting baptized on January 11th!!!! She also came to church yesterday and really clicked with the ward members. I am so happy that my Peruvian friend is getting baptized after all this time. I know that God knew that I needed to be put in the Braddock ward for this reason.
Miracles also happened with new investigators and less actives this week. We are teaching and finding like never before. I know that when we are diligent, the Lord pours out his blessings. We had two members bring nonmembers to church yesterday and they are both interested in learning more. We also have been in contact with lots of less actives who are ready to come back.
I just love the holidays and I am so grateful for this time that I have to be a missionary during this Christmas season. Okay plans for Christmas go as follows... Bishop wants us to be at his home by 10 am. Family this is 8 am your time. We will be there from 10am to 2pm. This is 8am-12pm your time. I will give you a call before I get on :). President Riggs would like us to keep our Skype visits to 45 minutes. I know this time is going to fly so I would like to spend most of the time with just you guys. I cannot even wait! Like I said above it does not even feel real! I also got your packages this morning. THANK YOU!
2 days!
Love,
Sister Smith
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
