Hey Fam,
Mom, I still am laughing about the whole situation that happened yesterday! I love when we first got on the Skype call you said "Why are you wearing a neck brace?" and my first line was "Why are you on an airplane?" It was such a random Skype call but I would not have it any other way! I am grateful that I was able to see all of you too. I am happy that you made it back safely and that Ade drove back to Idaho safe too. What randomness!
I am going to repeat a little bit of what I said on the Conference call. Our miracle of the week happened this past Tuesday. I was on an exchange with a sister from the Warrenton ward and we were on exchanges in Gainesville. I told her that we should go and talk to this lady cleaning her car. As we started talking to this lady we realized that she had investigated the church back in 1992. She investigated the church for a whole year and then decided to stop when her boyfriend at the time told her that it was such a bad idea. 22 years later she has decided to investigate for herself. She still has all of the standard works and crafts from Relief Society activities back in the day. We had a lesson with her this past week and we will be having another one tonight. She is so solid! It really shows that people will be put in your path as you prepare yourself to share the gospel.
I have been an adventurous little missionary this past week. Last Monday we went fishing in a members back yard. I caught two fish and I was so proud! It was a messy job but I had a lot of fun. This past Friday Sister Stott and I hiked Bull Run Mountain. We did this because a member in our ward was hiking with a nonmember and wanted us to get to know her. I had a lot of fun and Sister Stott felt miserable by the end. Her poor body can't handle it.
I am looking forward to our Skype lesson with Justin tonight. We have a lesson with one of our investigators at 6p which is 4p your time. It might run a little over due to driving. But we will make it work!
I love you all and I hope you have an awesome week!
Love,
Sister Smith
