Hey guys,
Wow Ade had a boyfriend for 32 hours huh?? Hahaha That is so awesome. Parents... There is a real possibility that she could be married by the time I get home. WOW! Jake I am so proud of you for carrying on the Classic Skating heritage. Are you liking it? Tell me everything! Josh is also going to be a pro when I come home. How many basketball camps has he done since I have left, sheesh. Tell Grandma Jardine that I said hello and that I love her and miss her. Tell her to write me letters. I really love getting them. And that way I will be able to write her back. I am so excited for Grandma and Grandpa's 50th anniversary. I got a letter from them this past week and Grandpa even sent me a wedding picture of when they got married. How I miss them!
I have had a good week this week. Some highlights of the week were 1st: Eating homemade fried chicken. There is an elderly lady who made us food from the south. She is from Georgia and makes outstanding fried chicken. 2nd: The mission has officially split. On Wednesday we had our entire mission come together for one last conference. It was so neat to see the whole mission together. Tell Sabrina that I saw Elder and Sister Riggs! (Not my mission president) They are a senior couple who was shopping a couple of weeks ago and I guess Sabrina found them and told them to tell me hello. Hahaha Sabrina is so great. I also saw Sister Decker's parents. I guess they have been trying to keep an eye out for me and they finally found me. I heard that Zach Decker is going to Mexico for the MTC and then going back to the states for his mission. So crazy! I told Sister Liddiard to tell Sister Decker to give you a hug from me. So I hope you get it :).
Sister Mitchell and I have 2 progressing Investigators. I think I told you about them last week but we tracted into them and the have been really interested about learning more about the church. We sat with them at church yesterday, so I guess you could say that we are heading in a good direction. We are meeting with them again this week so say a prayer for us. Their names are Chris and Crystal. Besides that we have been meeting with a lot of less actives. We are trying to meet with all of them before we are transferred out of the area.
Family, I want you to know that I am really enjoying missionary work. I feel like I am becoming more confident in my teaching and I am learning so much about this great work. I have really gained a testimony on the Book of Mormon and the power that it truly has. During our mission conference President Riggs showed us a video about the Grace of Jesus Christ. You guys should look it up on Youtube. It is a Brad Wilcox talk. One thing that really stuck out to me in this talk was when he says, "We are not earning heaven, we are learning heaven." This is something that we have been using while we are tracting. People don't think that they need to change their ways and that we can just repent before we die. The reason that we are here is to learn correct principles so we can in return live with our Father in Heaven again.
I hope you are all doing well and I can't wait to hear about the family reunion. Tell the family hi for me k? Thanks!
Love your daughter,
Sister Smith
