Hey guys,
There is so much that I want to talk to you about. First of all I am a Sister Training Leader. This calling is pretty overwhelming but I need to put trust in the Lord and know that He will take care of me. I am speaking in 2 Zone Conferences and I am going on exchanges with Sisters twice a week. I know that Fear is a selfish thing but all of the Sister Training Leaders have been out a year and then you have me. A six month old missionary who doesn't know exactly what she is doing. I have such a strong testimony of God and how he has qualified me to every position that I have been in and so he will continue to qualify me.
Next topic. I have had the best week of my life thus far. Okay I am in a singles ward. It is so fun because I am teaching so many people.Thursday was transfers and then Saturday we had a baptism. Her name is Chunyu and she is from China. 8 months ago she did not even believe in God and now she is baptized and planning on serving a mission in 1 year. She is such an inspiration to me! The night of the baptism was the ward temple night. We took Chunyu and she did baptisms for the dead that night. We also took 3 other recent converts to the temple for their first time for baptisms. I was a temple helper and so it was super nice to watch them all enter into the font. It really strengthened my testimony. I love these people. My ward is so fun! Its actually pretty nice to be in a singles ward. We are teaching a Ghanaian. His name is Quabina and we had his first lesson the first day I got here. He is so prepared and very excited about his baptism on December 7th. We are also teaching two sisters Tracey and Jimena. Tracey is on date for November 30th! (Your Birthday MOM!) It is a nice change to be teaching so many people. I love these people and I know that I was supposed to be put in this area for a reason.
What a great week you have had! I am so happy that Cody and Shain are looking forward to their missions. It really is changing me. I am so grateful that I decided to put in my papers. I really could not see my life without my mission.
BIG NEWS! I am a Facebook missionary. I am scrubbing my Facebook and getting it approved so I can use it. I can only use it for Proselyting purposes only. I will also be able to have Skype lessons. Missionary work is changing and I am so grateful that I can be a part of this great change. I will get my iPad on December 11 and my iPad will be my planner, area book etc... I will be doing all of my work on it. My mission president said that there is a big chance that I will be able to take it home with me. Neat huh!
Hey mom, tell Aunt Jen I said Happy Birthday! Also can you send me some proactive. I am running out. THANK YOU! Ohhh also I am going shopping because my bag finally broke. Mom also can you give my new address to my friends? You are the best.
I love you all so much and am so grateful for the support. Keep me in your prayers and always know that you are in mine!
Love Sister Smith
