Hey Fambam,
We had a crazy snow storm yesterday and so we are just now getting out. Haha, dad you make me laugh. I have never really even heard of the movie Frozen. Those lyrics might make sense when I am home. I am so happy that Josh's birthday went well. You all looked so great! It’s sad that Ade and I were not there to celebrate. Of course he got Michael Jordan things. I would not expect anything less. Sabrina is off tomorrow morning huh? Wow, I really can't believe she is actually leaving. She has been in my prayers all week. I am getting butterflies for her. I know that she is going to do so great out there. I told Binaboo that I was always so impressed by the way she would talk to everyone before her mission. Well, as a missionary that's what you do. You talk to everyone! She is going to grow and change and love her mission. It’s cool that we will also be serving half of our missions together. I hope that I can get her emails!
So much has happened this week and I need to sum it up into one email. I will do my best! To start off I went on two exchanges with wonderful sisters this week. While I was on an exchange with Sister McKenna we went to GMU and passed out quite a few copies of the Book of Mormon. It was fun to get out and talk with humans my age. We have been working with amazing less actives and two of them came to church this past Sunday. MIRACLES! One of them also bought me the cutest Puma shoes. They are pretty classy and I look forward to wearing them this spring.
Braddock turned one! The singles ward has only been put together for a year. It’s been fun to be a part of this start in the Braddock ward. We had a lot of people show up to the party including Katerine. She is still meeting with us and coming to church. She is really getting involved in the ward which makes me happy.
We have a new investigator! Yesterday we were snowed into our apartment and we were not allowed to drive. Being the brave sister missionaries that we are, we put on our coats, mittens, and boots and headed out into the freezing tundra. We saw many people in our complex trying to scrape of the ice and snow on their cars. We decided to help them and came across a young single adult named Marylin. As we helped scrape her car we were able to talk to her about God and our relationship with him. We gave her a Book of Mormon and asked her to pray about it. She said that she would and of course we could not go without inviting her to be baptized. She told us that she will get baptized when she comes to know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. AHHH! I am so grateful for snow storms.
Big news. I will be getting an iPad in 2 days. Is this crazy or what? I am really excited and looking forward to meeting with Justin! Dad, I could possibly have a lesson 530 your time. Ask Justin if that will be alright? We have church and meetings until 6 *(my time) and then we should probably eat something. I am really looking forward to teaching him. Mom and Dad you can message me over Facebook and let me know if that will work? On Facebook we can talk more about what we will teach him and all that jazz.
I love you all and I can't wait to hear about what this week will bring!
Love,
Sister Smith
