Hey guys,
It's been a whole 2 weeks. Time really flies. First things first. I Love my companion. I think I told you what her name is but I'll tell you again. Her name is Sister Calder and she is from South Jordan. She is such an amazing missionary and is adjusting to the mission very well. I am learning things from her everyday. On Labor Day our ward mission leader and his wife took us downtown. It was great. We went to the Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, National Gallery of Art (I could spend days there), The Archives (Constitution, Bill of Rights, Declaration of Independence), Library of Congress (BEAUTIFUL), and the National Cathedral. My feet hurt after walking so much. Mom, my sesamoid bone hurts every single day. I am taking my ibuprofen everyday but I know that it is something that I will continue to push through until the end of my mission. Uncle Jared will be in my prayers. It's so painful.
We have seen miracles this week. We have 3 new investigators. In 1 WEEK! That is hard to come by in our area. I could spend hours talking about each one of them and how great they are but I am going to focus on one that has touched my heart and a lesson that I will never forget. We went by to see a less active man. His wife answered the door and said that he has been deployed to Afghanistan and that he is not interested in coming back to church. We talked to Erandi (the wife) for a bit and she said that we could come and talk to her on Saturday. We went back on Saturday and had a lesson with her about recognizing the spirit and how she can have a relationship with her Heavenly Father. This led into a lesson of the Restoration. (She had never heard of Joseph Smith before). At the end of the lesson she cried and knew that it was a miracle that we had come by. We will continue to teach her. She says that she feels something different. The spirit was so strong. I recognized in that moment that I was fulfilling my purpose. The 2 other investigators that we are teaching are Aday from Ethiopia and Phillip from Taiwan. Katarine and Melvin are still progressing. We have a lesson tonight and we are hoping to put them back on date.
I am happy that you all had fun at Swiss Days. I love the pictures! I am so happy that you were able to go to Brittany and Dave's Wedding. She looks beautiful. Ham, Jade, Sharon, and Alexis look so pretty too. Gosh, I have pretty friends. I love that Nicole is going on a mission. I know that she will touch so many lives! Dad everyone kept telling us about the BYU game. I heard it was a crazy storm! I am also happy that Vikings are doing well. GO VIKINGS! How is school going for Jake and Josh? Tell them to write me because I miss hearing from them. Tell Ade good luck with school for me!
Keep me updated and I can't wait to hear what next week has in store!
Love You All!

P.S I loved the package and letters you sent. Tell Ade that I wear her bracelet every day.
