Hey guys,
I am a Trainer and I love it! It is an adjustment, but I know that the Lord is qualifying me every step of the way. This is the biggest transfer that the mission has ever seen. 42 new missionaries came in. It was inevitable that as soon as I was done with the 12 week training that I would be a trainer. My new companion's name is Sister Calder. She has just barely turned 19 and is from South Jordan UT. She has such a great desire to learn and grow and I know that she will be a great addition to the mission.
It has been a rough week. Not many people wanted to listen but we are CONTINUING to show the Lord our diligence. Katarine and Melvin are continuing to progress. Yesterday I was in a Mission Musical Fireside. Our Zone put it on and President Riggs and his wife came. Katarine came and it meant so much to me to have her there. We have a lesson with them tonight and we are praying that we can establish a baptism date. Please keep them in your prayers. Ohhh good news, we have been teaching this less active for a long time now and she finally came to church yesterday. She hasn't been to church in over 20 years. She came with her 7 year old son and I almost cried when she walked in.
I am so happy that you saw Sister Whitesides! It is so true. I guess the weather has not been this good in years. The Lord really knows what I can handle haha. I am excited for everybody to go back to school! Is it really that time already? Time is flying. Tell everyone that I love them and that I hope they have a good first week at school. I am so happy for Sabrina. Tell her that I love her so much and I wish her the best. She is going to be so great at Utah State!
Thanks for all of the prayers, it really means so much to me! I will not be able to email you next Monday because the library is closed on Labor Day, But I will talk to you in a couple of weeks. Write me letters, I love them! Ohh, Also tell Brittany that I love her and tell her congratulations for me. I feel like it was just yesterday that we were hanging out in Junior High and now she will be a married woman, gosh it's so great!
Love you all,
Sister Smith
