Hey,
Conference really was great! I enjoyed it so much. This was my third conference on my mission and it was also my last. I know it will be a transition but I know it will be the next step for me to grow and change.
There really were lots of great talks that were uplifting and motivating. Lots of the talks were centered on Jesus Christ and also sustaining the Prophet and other church leaders. I know that this world is getting worse and it is up to us to follow and sustain our prophet to know how we can make it to live with our Heavenly Father again.
I loved when the prophet said... "Walking WHERE Jesus walked is not as important as walking AS Jesus walked." I know that General Conference always motivates me to be more like my Savior, Jesus Christ.
This week I had lots of meetings. I had an online proselyting training, mission leadership council, general conference. All of these meetings were very uplifting and inspiring. Sometimes I feel like I take so many notes and forget to go back and apply what I learned. That is a goal that I am trying to make for the week. Lots of meetings = lots of notes.
Erin is still progressing towards baptism on October 19th. She is so prepared! It really is fun teaching a thirteen year old. She makes me laugh and takes me back to when I was a young teen. Claudia watched two sessions of conference this weekend. One of the families in the ward gave her a new set of all the standard works with her name on it. She loved the gift and even got pretty emotional. She loves this church.
I also went on another exchange this week with Sister Quinton. I was her sister training leader when I was in Braddock so it was fun to catch up on old times. She is serving in a place called Catoctin. Her area is a third of the mission. It's all farm land.
I had a wonderful week and was so grateful for every minute of it. We have transfers this Thursday. I really can't believe its over. Sister Richins and I have had so much fun together this transfer. I really am actually looking forward to transfers this Thursday because our whole mission is going to watch Meet the Mormons at the stake center. Awww it's going to be great!
I love you all and hope you have another good week!
Love, Sister Smith
